UBC Sauder LIFT: Ghana is a business skills training programme that gives participants the tools and knowledge to improve their lives and their communities.
UBC Sauder LIFT is a socially impactful international programme. Its goal is to fuel entrepreneurship as participants create or improve their own ventures, bringing essential business tools to a classroom of aspiring entrepreneurs. LIFT stands for Leadership, Innovation, Fundamentals and Training.
In collaboration with TGLC, LIFT: Ghana equips business leaders with key skills that will enable them to be successful in their field of business while contributing to the growth and development of their country.
Hear from the team about how UBC Sauder LIFT fuels entrepreneurship in Ghana, and what a cohort looks like at TGLC.
The programme benefits both participants and instructors. Participants learn diverse perspectives and approaches to solving complex business problems. Instructors learn the local culture and how it shapes business environments and behaviour. Both learn from each other.
The programme challenges entrepreneurs who want to grow their business, and people who want to start one, to apply business concepts and tools to real problems. It runs as workshops, online video sessions and in-person training in four phases over three months. A certificate is awarded on successful completion.
Sample sessions include The 4Ps of Marketing and Diversification and Value Proposition, Cost Structure and Margin.
We invite you to apply if you meet these criteria. Participants are on a full tuition scholarship.
